SPECIAL BICYCLES – MOUNTAIN BIKES
For bicycles fans the " Riviera delle Palme " is the ideal place with its wonderful routes along the coast among olives and palms. Variety of routes for family and professional bikers. Mild climate makes this area perfect for training in Autumn and Winter too. Moreover, Hotel Riviera is situated at only 80 mt from well-known Olmo bicycles.
GOLF:
Filanda Golf Club: 9 hole course recently built in the center of Albissola Superiore (5 km)
St. Anna Golf: located nearby Cogoleto (Km.8) in Loc. Lerca, a recent 18-hole course, in the vegetation, with beautiful panorama on the sea.
Arenzano Golf Club: Classic 9 holes in the frame of popular pinewood of Arenzano.
TENNIS:
At A.S. Tie-Break (150 meters from Hotel) synthetic grass courts for tennis and 5-a-side football; the association has the equipment required for those lacking at the moment. SURF:
Since 1983 Varazze is universally recognized as one of the 3 best waves of the Mediterranean; the rocky seabed side of the pier gives breakers of excellent quality.
VARAZZE YACHT CLUB
It was founded in 1919, C.A.S. CONI centre, at first especially for boys.
Sailing School’s boats are kept in a strip of beach between the tourist port and Baglietto
Shipyard; if requested Optimist, L’Equipe, 420, 470 too.
The Club is open all year around.
From September to June professional training teams and beginning courses.
“PALAVARAZZE” SPORT STADIUM
Recent stucture (1986) situated in the centre of Varazze, with a 800 mq field, parquet floor, suitable for any kind of sport (volleyball, handball, basketball, five-a-side football, karate, etc.), conference room with 240 places equipped with translation machinery. The Palavarazze is the ideal place for concerts, meetings and national sport events.
SPORT GROUND “PINO FERRO”
Situated right by the tourist port, well-known “Pino Ferro” is provided with changing room, showers, lights for by-night sport events; 2000 places on terraces and stands.
ATHLETICS SCHOOL
Along river Teiro, the 220 mt field is equipped with 4 lanes and lights for by-night events and training.
DIVING:
Diving Abysso D.C.: technical and recreational diving from Arenzano to Bergeggi and diving courses for any levels. The centre will be placed shortly on the new port Marina di Varazze.
Techdive Diving: diving courses at every level and degree with certification and patents.
